Abigail’s Party to transfer into the West End starring Tamzin Outhwaite

Stratford East’s acclaimed revival of Mike Leigh’s hit comedy Abigail’s Party is coming to the West End this summer, led by stage and screen star Tamzin Outhwaite.

Directed by the Young Vic’s artistic director Nadia Fall (Entertaining Mr Sloane), Tamzin Outhwaite brings her critically acclaimed performance as Beverly to the West End’s Harold Pinter Theatre from 12 August to 19 September 2026.

The show comes to London following a successful run last year at Stratford East Theatre, and a UK tour that runs from June to August.

Also returning to their roles from Stratford East are Kevin Bishop (The Kevin Bishop Show) as Laurence, Pandora Colin (Ballet Shoes) as Sue, and Omar Malik (Marriage Material) as Tony. They are joined by Lauren Patel (The Empress) as Angela.

This production of Mike Leigh’s ferocious black comedy of suburban life in the 1970s scored great reviews from the critics at Stratford East, including four stars from the Times, TimeOut, and The Telegraph.

Tamzin Outhwaite recently starred in Nadia Fall’s production of Joe Orton’s classic comedy Entertaining Mr Sloane at The Young Vic. Her previous TV roles have included EastEnders, Red Cap, Hotel Babylon and New Tricks.
