Mean Girls The Musical has announced dates for its forthcoming UK & Ireland tour.

The show announced in March that it was closing at the West End’s Savoy Theatre, and heading out on tour.

The West End production closed at the weekend, on 8 June.

The major new tour of Mean Girls for 2026 and 2027 will kick off at Manchester Opera House in February 2026, and then visit Cardiff, Sunderland, Milton Keynes, Cheltenham, Hull, Bournemouth, Belfast, Wolverhampton, Glasgow, Llandudno, Southend, Blackpool, Dublin, Bristol, Crawley, Bradford, Liverpool, Edinburgh, and Newcastle. See all dates here.

The tour will also be visiting Stoke on Trent, Eastbourne, Woking, Aberdeen, Canterbury, Nottingham, Sheffield, Wimbledon, Birmingham, Oxford and Southampton, with dates and venues announced soon.

Mean Girls The Musical is based on Tina Fey’s 2004 film starring Lindsay Lohan, and tells the story of a young girl who moves from the plains of Africa to a suburban high school in Illinois. She quickly learns that the wilds of Africa did not prepare her for the fierce and vicious manoeuvres of the popular girls in an American high school.

Directed and choreographed by Casey Nicholaw (Disney’s Aladdin, The Book of Mormon), the show has music and vocal arrangements by Jeff Richmond (30 Rock, Unbreakable Kimmy Schmidt), lyrics by Nell Benjamin (Legally Blonde), and a book by the film’s screenwriter Tina Fey (30 Rock).
