Acclaimed actors Toby Jones, Meera Syal, Kathryn Hunter and Billy Howle will lend their voices to the central characters in Storehouse, a bold new immersive production opening at Deptford Storehouse, London, this summer.
Running from 4 June to 20 September 2025, Storehouse invites audiences into a sprawling dystopian archive of human knowledge and digital memory. Set across 9,000 square metres of atmospheric industrial space, the production fuses performance, soundscape and interactive storytelling, combining the vocal performances of leading British talent with a live ensemble cast.
Toby Jones (Mr Bates vs The Post Office, Tetris) voices Bobby Lickdon, while Meera Syal CBE (Paddington 2, The Kumars at No. 42) plays Dolly K. Guha. Kathryn Hunter (Poor Things, Harry Potter and the Order of the Phoenix) lends her distinctive tones to Anne Rourke, with Billy Howle (The Perfect Couple, On Chesil Beach, Dear Octopus) completing the quartet as Brian Falcon. These four enigmatic ‘founders’ of the Storehouse are portrayed as radical digital visionaries, whose curated archive of stories forms the heart of the piece.
The physical cast includes Nina Smith (Britannia), Dawn Butler (Doctors), Bonnie Adair (Here We Go), and Zachary Pang (Julie: The Musical), alongside a large ensemble featuring Nat Kennedy, Elizabeth Hollingshead, Chris Agha, Harriett O’Grady, Rob Leetham, Scott Karim, Grace Hussey-Burd and Darrel Bailey.
Blending myth, technology and the modern anxiety surrounding misinformation, Storehouse immerses its audience in a world where every online interaction has been preserved by a secretive collective. As digital narratives fracture and control is contested, the production offers a powerful meditation on trust, truth, and the politics of memory in the digital age.
Original music by acclaimed composer Anna Meredith features in the show’s climax, adding emotional weight to an experience described by its creators as “a call to action” as much as a piece of theatre. The creative team is led by creative director Sophie Larsmon, with production design by Alice Helps (Lost Origin), costume design by Julie Belinda Landau (Wishmas), lighting design by Ben Donoghue (Ezra Collective), sound design by James Bulley (Distortions in Spacetime), dramaturgy by Sophie Drake and additional compositions by Sinemis Buyuka and James Bulley.
The creative team also includes Story Producer Donnacadh O’Brian (Operation Mincemeat) and co-writers Tristan Bernays (Boudica), Sonali Bhattacharyya (King Troll), Kathryn Bond (IT’S TRUE, IT’S TRUE, IT’S TRUE), Katie Lyons (Peaky Blinders: The Rise), Caro Murphy (Disney’s Star Wars: Galactic Starcruiser) and Rhik Samadder (The Indian Boy).
Tickets for Storehouse are now on sale on West End Theatre, with performances running Wednesday to Sunday.
