Nye takes audiences on a powerful journey through the life of one of Britain’s most influential politicians, from his early years in the Welsh coalfields to his battles in Parliament, particularly against Winston Churchill, in the fight to establish the NHS. As Nye confronts his own mortality, the production weaves a vivid and imaginative tapestry of his most defining moments.
The production will run at the National Theatre’s Olivier Theatre from 3 July to 16 August 2025. It will then transfer to the Wales Millennium Centre’s Donald Gordon Theatre from 22 to 30 August 2025. Tickets are now on sale.
