Get Pop Off, Michelangelo! tickets in London
High-camp musical comedy Pop Off, Michelangelo!, that took the Edinburgh Festival Fringe by storm, makes its West End debut at Underbelly Boulevard in London.
Dylan MarcAurele’s Pop Off, Michelangelo! is the fabulous musical comedy about besties-turned-bitter rivals Michelangelo and Leonardo da Vinci.
After realising they’re both gay, the two childhood friends attempt to earn divine forgiveness by becoming the greatest religious artists of all time.
Can Michelangelo gaslight, gatekeep, and girlboss his way to the Vatican? Will Leonardo shut up about his helicopter?
With an electropop original score as infectious as the bubonic plague, and a script that has not been remotely fact-checked, this brand new Renaissance adventure is both hilarious and unhinged!
Pop Off, Michelangelo! is playing at Underbelly Boulevard in Soho, London from 17 May to 13 July 2025.
Pop Off Michelangelo tells the story of best-pals-turned-bitter-rivals Michelangelo and Leonardo da Vinci. A bloodthirsty friar is on the hunt for homosexuals in Renaissance Italy at the exact moment when childhood friends Mike and Leo realise they both like boys. Terrified, they devise a foolproof plan to gain God’s forgiveness: they simply need to become the greatest religious artists of all time. Can Michelangelo gaslight, gatekeep, and girlboss his way to the Vatican? Will Leonardo ever shut up about his helicopter?
