The Society of London Theatre has announced the hosts for this year’s Olivier Awards 2025.

The Olivier Awards 2025 ceremony will take place on Sunday 6 April 2025, once again at the Royal Albert Hall in London.

This year’s hosting duties will go to West End and Broadway stars Billy Porter and Beverley Knight.

For the past two years the Olivier Awards have been hosted by Hannah Waddingham.

Nominations for the Olivier Awards are usually announced in March.

Billy Porter is a Primetime Emmy, Grammy and Tony Award winner, and currently starring in Cabaret at the Kit Kat Club in London.

Beverley Knight is an Olivier Award-winning actor, scoring an award for Sylvia in 2023, and also nominated for three other Olivier Awards. Beverley will be starring in new show Marie and Rosetta at the Rose Theatre in Kingston and Chichester Festival Theatre this spring.

This year’s creative team for the Olivier Awards will see the return of Anthony Van Laast (Mamma Mia!) as Creative Show Director, with conductor and arranger Gareth Valentine (Wicked, Cats, Miss Saigon), orchestrator Mark Cumberland, and lighting designer Ben Cracknell.

Beverley Knight said in a statement: “I am so chuffed to be hosting this year’s Olivier Awards! I’m even more excited to be hosting alongside Billy Porter who is a phenomenal talent. It is an honour to be asked to hold the reins of such an important and prestigious night of celebrating theatre.”

Billy Porter said: “I am thrilled and honoured to host the Olivier Awards alongside the fantastic Beverley Knight. I’m so grateful for the warm welcome from the London theatre community, and am looking forward to a magnificent evening!”
