Good Night, Oscar starring Sean Hayes (Will & Grace), direct from Broadway to London’s Barbican Theatre

Tony and Emmy Award-winner Sean Hayes (Will & Grace) reprises his Broadway triumph in the UK premiere of Good Night, Oscar at the Barbican Theatre this summer. Direct from its critically acclaimed Broadway run, Hayes brings his Tony-winning performance to London for a strictly limited seven-week season in London.

Joining Hayes in the cast is Ben Rappaport (Grosse Pointe Garden Society, The Good Wife), who also starred to great acclaim in the Broadway production, and West End star Rosalie Craig (Company) as June Levant.

Step into the world of 1950s live television and witness Hollywood’s first celebrity meltdown – delivered with jaw-dropping wit and comedic brilliance. Hayes takes on the role of Oscar Levant, the razor-sharp wit, virtuoso pianist, and Hollywood star whose personal chaos threatens to erupt live on national television.

Good Night, Oscar is a thrilling blend of humour, scandal, and raw vulnerability. It’s 1958. Legendary talk-show host Jack Paar welcomes his most unpredictable guest: Oscar Levant. Released from a mental institution for just four hours, his appearance on The Tonight Show risks unraveling in front of millions, all while delivering some of the sharpest one-liners ever broadcast on live TV.

Written by Pulitzer Prize-winner Doug Wright and directed by Lisa Peterson, Good Night, Oscar explores the fine line between genius and madness. This must-see comic drama is an unforgettable ride through the chaos of live television, celebrity, and mental health.
