More shows have been confirmed to appear at West End Live 2014, the West End’s annual free celebration.
West End Live celebrates its 10th birthday this year when the free event returns to Trafalgar Square and Leicester Square featuring performances from a host of West End shows.
This year’s event will run on Saturday 21 June (11am to 6pm) and Sunday 22 June 2014 (12pm to 6pm) in both Trafalgar Square and Leicester Square in Central London.
Shows now confirmed to appear at the event include:
- Charlie and the Chocolate Factory
- Miss Saigon
- Wicked
- Jersey Boys
- Billy Elliot
- The Bodyguard
- The Commitments
- Mamma Mia!
- The Pajama Game
- Stomp
- Matilda The Musical
- Dirty Rotten Scoundrels
- Les Miserables
- Forbidden Broadway
- Thriller Live
- The Gershwin’s Porgy and Bess
- Let It Be
- Disney’s The Lion King
- Lord of the Dance: Dangerous Games
- English National Opera
- Royal Opera chorus – led by conductor and singer Placido Domingo
For the first time this year the event will also feature a Spiegeltent in Leicester Square to host a free Theatre Emporium, featuring special talks and Q&As including director of The Commitments and Richard III, Jamie Lloyd, and the casts of Shakespeare in Love and Handbagged.
The event will also feature cabaret performances of 10 songs that have been performed at past West End Lives in order to celebrate the 10th anniversary of the annual event.
West End Live is organised by Westminster City Council and the Society of London Theatre in association with MasterCard.
