Richard Eyre’s joyous revival of Broadway classic The Pajama Game has opened at the Shaftesbury Theatre in London and the critics LOVE IT – with both the Guardian and the Telegraph giving it FIVE STARS.
Originating at Chichester last summer, the show has transferred into town with the show’s Chichester lead Joanna Riding and new leading man Michael Xavier.
Based on the novel 7 1/2 Cents by Richard Blissell, with music and lyrics by Richard Adler and Jerry Ross and book by George Abbott and Richard Blissell, The Pajama Game is full of songs from a golden age of Broadway including Hey There (You With The Stars In Your Eyes), Hernando’s Hideaway and Steam Heat.
