Photos have dropped for the Curve Theatre in Leicester’s Christmas revival of The Sound of Music.
Directed by Nikolai Foster (Kinky Boots The Musical, The Silence of the Lambs), The Sound of Music is now playing at the Curve in Leicester until 11 January 2026.
This year marks the 60th anniversary of much-loved The Sound of Music movie starring Julie Andrews. The musical boasts a spectacular score by Richard Rodgers and lyrics by Oscar Hammerstein II.
The Sound of Music stars Molly Lynch (Here We Are, The Last Five Years) as Maria and David Seadon-Young (An American in Paris, Ghost The Musical) as Captain Georg von Trapp.
Molly and David return to Leicester after playing Eliza Doolittle and Henry Higgins in last year’s My Fair Lady.

The show also stars Olivier Award-winner Joanna Riding (Carousel, Follies) as Mother Abbess, Aviva Tulley (The Wizard of Oz) as Liesl von Trapp, Faye Brookes (Coronation Street, Chicago) as Baroness Elsa Schraeder, Megan Ellis (Muriel’s Wedding The Musical) as Sister Sophie, Rachel Izen (Billy Elliot) as Frau Schmidt, Minal Patel (My Fair Lady) as Max Detweiler, Mark Peachey (The Wizard of Oz) as Franz, and Keanna Bloomfield (My Fair Lady) as Sister Margareta.
