Production photos of 1984 at the Playhouse Theatre
The acclaimed adaptation of George Orwell’s 1984 has started performances in the West End at the Playhouse Theatre.
This sold-out production from the Almeida Theatre comes to the West End for a strictly limited run until 19 July 2014.
In a new adaptation created by Robert Icke and Duncan Macmillan, this Almeida Theatre, Headlong and Nottingham Playhouse co-production is designed by Chloe Lamford, with lighting by Natasha Chivers, sound by Tom Gibbons and video designed by Tim Reid.
A great cast includes Mark Arends as Winston, Tim Dutton as O’Brien, Stephen Fewell as Charrington, Christopher Patrick Nolan as Martin, Matthew Spencer as Syme, Gavin Spokes as Parsons, Mandi Symonds as Mrs Parsons and Hara Yannas as Julia.
