Stephen Sondheim musical The Frogs is getting a London revival in 2025 at Southwark Playhouse Borough.

The show will play the South London venue from 23 May to 28 June 2025.

The Frogs will star American stage and screen star Kevin McHale, making his London theatre debut as Xanthias, with further casting to be announced.

Kevin is best known for playing Artie in Glee, for which he was nominated for a Grammy Award, three Screen Actors Guild Awards for Outstanding Performance by an Ensemble in a Comedy Series and two Teen Choice Awards. His other TV credits include The Office (NBC), When We Rise (ABC), and American Horror Stories (FX).

Kevin’s recent theatre credits include The 25th Annual Putnam County Spelling Bee at the Kennedy Center.

Directed by Georgie Rankcom, The Frogs boasts music and lyrics by Stephen Sondheim, and a book by Burt Shevelove and Nathan Lane.

Joining Georgie Rankcom in the creative team are musical director Ben McQuigg, choreographer Matt Nicholson, set and costume designer Libby Todd, sound designer Joshua Robins, orchestrator Tim Sutton, casting director Peter Noden, production manager Adam Smith, stage manager Waverley Moran, and assistant stage manager Evie Graham-Brown.

The show is produced by Samsational Entertainment, The Grey Area, Benson Drive Productions,  Melissa & Bradford Coolidge, and and Thomas Hopkins Productions.

The Frogs is playing at Southwark Playhouse Borough in London from 23 May to 28 June 2025.
