The iconic villain Cruella de Vil is set to make her mark on London’s theatre scene as 101 Dalmatians: The Musical takes over the Eventim Apollo for an exclusive six-week run! From 18 July to 30 August 2025, Dodie Smith’s timeless canine adventure will come to life in a dazzling stage production, filled with laughter, spectacle, and plenty of spots.
With stunning puppetry, vibrant choreography, and catchy original songs, 101 Dalmatians follows the daring adventures of Pongo and Perdi, two protective Dalmatian parents who must rescue their puppies from the infamous fashionista Cruella. Determined to create the ultimate fur coat, Cruella’s villainous plans drive the musical’s suspense, promising audiences a mix of humour, heart, and high-stakes drama.

Adapted for the stage with music and lyrics by Douglas Hodge, a book by Johnny McKnight, and based on Zinnie Harris’s stage adaptation, this new production brings Dodie Smith’s classic story to life in a way that is both timeless and refreshingly modern. The UK tour has been met with enthusiastic reviews, delighting audiences of all ages with its blend of classic storytelling and modern theatrical flair.
In the current tour, Kym Marsh and Faye Tozer share the role of Cruella de Vil, with West End star Kerry Ellis (Wicked, Anything Goes) set to take over when the show reaches Oxford and Brighton next month. Audiences have praised the performances and the show’s innovative staging, which brings the beloved story to a new generation.

With just four dates left on the current UK tour, 101 Dalmatians: The Musical continues its nationwide journey, bringing the beloved story to audiences across the country. The remaining dates include Glasgow (12-16 Nov), Edinburgh (19-23 Nov), Oxford (3-7 Dec), and Brighton (17 Dec – 5 Jan). Kym Marsh recently concluded her run as Cruella in York, with Faye Tozer set to play the role in Glasgow and Edinburgh, while West End star Kerry Ellis will take on the final two dates in Oxford and Brighton.
Directed by Bill Buckhurst, the production features an impressive creative team: set design by David Woodhead, costumes by Sarah Mercadé, and choreography by Lucy Hind. Additional highlights include musical supervision by Alfonso Casado Trigo, orchestrations by Jack Hopkins, and puppetry designed by Jimmy Grimes.
