First Look: The new poster artwork for Shakespeare in Love at the Noel Coward Theatre

New artwork has been released for the forthcoming stage adaptation of Oscar-winning movie Shakespeare in Love.

Starting previews from 2 July 2014 at the Noel Coward Theatre, this big-budget new play is directed by Cheek By Jowl’s acclaimed creative team of director Declan Donellan and designer Nick Ormerod.

Produced by West End impressario Sonia Friedman and backed by Disney, the show promises to be a major highlight of Summer 2014 in the West End.

The writing credits of the show are also heavyweight, with Billy Elliot writer Lee Hall penning the adaptation based on Marc Norman and Tom Stoppard’s original screenplay.

A young cast is led by Lucy Briggs-Owen as Viola De Lesseps and Tom Bateman as William Shakespeare.
