Robert Icke directs the world premiere of Manhunt – a thrilling new play coming to the Royal Court Theatre in Spring 2025.
Manhunt tells the story of Raoul Moat: the man at the heart of one of the most infamous manhunts of the century. Award-winning writer and director Robert Icke (Oedipus, Player Kings, West End) provides a chilling portrait of a man on the run.
The cast includes Samuel Edward Cook (Peaky Blinders, Player Kings,) as Raoul Moat, with Trevor Fox (As You Like It), Leo James (Peter and the Wildflowers), Patricia Jones (Mycelial), Danny Kirrane (Jerusalem), Angela Lonsdale (Bluebird), Sally Messham (Black Mountain), and Nicolas Tennant (The Birthday Party).
Manhunt is playing at the Royal Court Theatre in London until 3 May 2025.
‘Raoul Moat was a callous murderer. Full Stop. End of story’ – David Cameron
On July 1st, 2010, Raoul Moat was released from Durham Prison.
The events of the next few days would leave a man murdered, a police officer blinded, a woman fighting for her life – and spark the biggest manhunt in UK history.
