Barbican confirms Benedict Cumberbatch as Hamlet.
The Barbican Theatre has confirmed that Benedict Cumberbatch will star as Hamlet in a new production of Shakespeare’s play.
Running from 5 August 2015 to 31 October 2015, information on tickets and booking dates will be announced by the Barbican in May 2014.
Sherlock star Benedict Cumberbatch will tackle Shakespeare’s most demanding role in a new production of Hamlet directed by Lyndsey Turner (Posh, Chimerica) and produced by Sonia Friedman Productions.
