Musical comedy [Title of Show] is getting a limited run at Southwark Playhouse Borough in November 2024.
The Tony-nominated Broadway hit by Hunter Bell and Jeff Bowen is a musical comedy about writing a musical. The show started as a last-minute entry to the 2004 New York Musical Theatre Festival and thanks to the internet, snowballed into and an off-Broadway and then Broadway run. It premiered in the UK at the Edinburgh Festival Fringe in August 2013.
The show is about two writers, Jeff and Hunter, and their friends as they embark on a desperate journey to write a new musical in three-weeks.
Following a short run at the Phoenix Arts Club in London, the show transfers to Southwark Playhouse Borough from 14 – 30 November 2024.
Directed by Christopher D Clegg, the cast includes Jacob Fowler (Heathers, Before After, Cool Rider) as Hunter, Thomas Oxley as Jeff, Abbie Budden (Cruel Intentions) as Heidi, Mary Moore (Grease) as Susan; Melissa McCabe and Cahir O’Neill as Off-stage swings.
