ONCE: Arthur Darvill to join the cast of Once

British actor Arthur Darvill to replace Declan Bennett in the role of Guy in hit Broadway musical ONCE at the Phoenix Theatre in London

Arthur Darvill, who has played the role of Guy on Broadway, will take over from Declan Bennett on 17 March 2014.

Arthur Darvill’s stage credits include Our Boys at the Duchess Theatre, Soft Cops for the RSC, Doctor Faustus at Shakespeare’s Globe, Been So Long for Young Vic and Swimming with Sharks at the Vaudeville Theatre. On TV he is best known for Doctor Who, Broadchurch and The White Queen.

Winner of eight Tony awards, ONCE is directed by John Tiffany and based on Irish playwright and screenwriter Enda Walsh’s award-winning book, with music and lyrics are by Glen Hansard and Markéta Irglová.
