Hit West End musical The Book of Mormon at the Prince of Wales Theatre has reached a new milestone.
Today, 6 June 2024, the show racks up its 4,000th performance in London.
That means it has become the 16th longest-running musical in West End history, leaping over Jersey Boys to take the title.
It still has a long way to go before it reaches the top of the list – with Les Miserables at the Sondheim Theatre crowned the longest-running musical in West End – and world – history!
The London cast of The Book of Mormon currently stars Blair Gibson as ‘Elder Price’, Conner Peirson as ‘Elder Cunningham’, Beatrice Penny-Touré as ‘Nabulungi’, plus Colin Burnicle as Elder McKinley, Richard Lloyd-King as Mafala Hatimbi, Edward Baruwa as ‘General’/’Satan’, and Ron Remke as ‘Joseph Smith’/’Jesus’/’Price’s Dad’/’Mission President’.
Completing the cast are Sam Glen, Sanchia Amber Clarke, Charlie Barnard, Char Burnett, Christopher Copeland, Joseph Davenport, Patrick George, George Grayson, Tad Hapaguti, Jed Hoyle, M-Jae Cleopatra Isaac, Isaac J Lewis, George Littell, Shak Mancel James, Jack McNeill, Zachary Miller, Paige Miller, Nyah Nish, Brian O’Muiri, Sean Parkins, Kirk Patterson, Stephen Rolley, Ben Tyler, Nic Vani, Dionne Ward-Anderson, Aisha Williams.
The musical recently celebrated its 11th year in the West End on 21 March 2024, and became the 17th longest-running musical in December 2022.

The Book of Mormon is co-directed by Trey Parker and Casey Nicholaw, with set design by Scott Pask, costume design by Ann Roth, lighting by Brian Macdevitt and sound by Brian Ronan. Choreography is by Nicholaw, orchestrations are by Larry Hochman and Stephen Oremus, and music supervision and vocal arrangements by Oremus.
