Romeo and Juliet - coming to the Duke of York's Theatre in London

Final tickets released for Romeo & Juliet starring Tom Holland in the West End

The final allocation of premium tickets have been released for Jamie Lloyd’s new production of Romeo & Juliet starring Tom Holland (Spider-Man) as Romeo.

Romeo & Juliet will play the West End’s Duke of York’s Theatre in London from 11 May to 3 August 2024.

The production has proved wildly successful already, with the first wave of tickets selling out within two hours, and the second wave of reduced-priced tickets for under 30’s and key workers also selling out.

Joining Tom Holland as Romeo in the cast will be Francesca Amewudah-Rivers (Bad Education, School Girls; Or, The African Mean Girls Play) as Juliet, Freema Agyeman (Doctor Who, Sense8, God of Carnage) as Nurse, Michael Balogun (Sherwood, The Lehman Trilogy) as Friar, Tomiwa Edun (Macbeth, The Deep Blue Sea) as Capulet, Mia Jerome (Treasure Island) as Montague, Daniel Quinn-Toye as Paris, Ray Sesay (Doctor Who, Anna Karenina) as Tybalt, Nima Taleghani (Cyrano de Bergerac, Hope Has A Happy Meal) as Benvolio, Joshua-Alexander Williams as Mercutio, and Callum Heinrich (Mamma Mia!) and Kody Mortimer (Sunset Boulevard) as Camera Operators.

The wider creative team for Romeo & Juliet includes: Text edited by Nima Taleghani; Set and Costume Design by Soutra Gilmour; Lighting Design by Jon Clark; Sound Design by Ben and Max Ringham; Video Design and Cinematography by Nathan Amzi and Joe Ransom; Music by Michael ‘Mikey J’ Asante; Casting by Stuart Burt CDG; Movement Direction by Sarah Golding & Yukiko Masui (SAY); Intimacy Coordination by Ingrid Mackinnon; Associate Director Jonathan Glew; Associate Designer Rachel Wingate; and Associate Costume Designer Anna Josephs.

Romeo & Juliet is the first new show from Jamie Lloyd since last year’s hugely successful, Olivier Award-winning revival of Sunset Boulevard. The production has an age rating of 12+ and advises that the show contains some scenes the audience might find difficult to watch.

Romeo & Juliet is playing at the West End’s Duke of York’s Theatre from 11 May to 3 August 2024.
