Casting has been announced for the UK premiere of I’m Gonna Marry You Tobey Maguire, coming to Southwark Playhouse Borough next month.
The show stars Kyle Birch (A Strange Loop, The Color Purple) as Brenda Dee Cankles, and Anders Hayward (Adults, Vigil) as Tobey Maguire, alongside the previously announced Tessa Albertson (Shrek The Musical) as Shelby Hinkley.
Written by Samantha Hurley, and directed by Tyler Struble, I’m Gonna Marry You Tobey Maguire enjoyed a sold-out run at New York’s the cell theatre.
Billed as a Y2K farce, I’m Gonna Marry You Tobey Maguire is a full-throttle explosion of our para-social relationships and the obsessions that detonate them.
The creative team also includes Set Designer Rodrigo Hernandez Martinez; Lighting Designer Holly Ellis; Sound Designer Jamie Lu; Costume Designer Reuben Speed; General Management Katy Galloway Productions; Casting by Harry Blumenau Casting; and Production Management by Chloe Stally-Gibson.
I’m Gonna Marry You Tobey Maguire plays the Southwark Playhouse Borough from 28 June to 10 August 2024.
