Internationally-acclaimed immersive theatre company Punchdrunk presents Viola’s Room, their next extraordinary experience.

Barefoot, and wearing headphones, you will travel in a small group of up to six people, feeling your way through a maze-like installation as an unseen narrator guides you on a sensory journey to reveal a story of innocence lost and obsession unleashed.

Written by Booker Prize-shortlisted Daisy Johnson, Viola’s Room reimagines Barry Pain’s classic gothic mystery The Moon-Slave for a new audience, taking you on an intimate, linear, audio-driven adventure that suffuses the dreams of those who dare to follow the light.

This extraordinary new show is conceived, directed and designed by Punchdrunk’s multi-award winning Artistic Director Felix Barrett, and includes sound design by Gareth Fry, the designer behind the binaural sound technology used for David Tennant’s Macbeth at the Donmar Warehouse.

Viola’s Room follows Punchdrunk’s previously acclaimed shows, including Sleep No More, The Drowned Man: A Hollywood Fable, andThe Burnt City.

CHRISTMAS: Viola’s Room: A Christmas Tale will play from 20 November to 23 December 2024, featuring Christmas music alongside other seasonal twists to experience a different version of Punchdrunk’s intimate, linear immersive tale.

Viola’s Room is playing until 23 December 2024 at Punchdrunk’s home at One Cartridge Place in Woolwich, London.
