Hit West End show Back To The Future The Musical has extended at the Adelphi Theatre in London.
Producers announced today that, Back To The Future The Musical tickets at the Adelphi Theatre are now booking to 22 December 2024. Today marks the musical’s 1000th performance in the West End.
The extension follows yesterday’s announcement that a new Japanese language production of Back To The Future The Musical will open at the JR East Shiki Theater in Takeshiba, Tokyo from April 2025.
The London production stars Cory English as ‘Doctor Emmett Brown’ and Ben Joyce as ‘Marty McFly’.
The lead cast also features Oliver Nicholas as ‘George McFly’, Sophie Naglik as ‘Jennifer Parker’, Sarah Goggin (Sister Act, Aladdin, Bad Girls) as ‘Lorraine Baines’, alongside Jay Perry as ‘Goldie Wilson’, Jordan Pearson as ‘Biff Tannen’, Lee Ormsby as ‘Strickland’, Rhodri Watkins as ‘Dave McFly’, Patricia Wilkins as ‘Linda McFly’, Elliott Evans as Alternate ‘Marty McFly’ and Stephen Leask as Alternate ‘Doctor Emmett Brown’.
The show, which is now running on Broadway, won the 2022 Olivier Award for Best New Musical, and is based on the much-loved 1980s movie starring Michael J. Fox and Christopher Lloyd. Musically, it features the songs from the movie including The Power Of Love by Huey Lewis and The News, Johnny B. Goode, Earth Angel and Mr Sandman, plus original songs by Ghost composer Glen Ballard and the movie’s original composer Alan Silvestri.
