Casting has been announced for the West End revival of The Effect at the Boulevard Theatre in London.
Lucy Prebble’s award winning play will star Eric Kofi Abrefa (Jurassic World ), Christina Entwisle (Vera, ITV), Tim McMullan (Netflix The Crown) and Kate O’Flynn (Happy Go Lucky ).
The Effect centres on two people who meet on a medical trial. With racing hearts and erratic emotions, are they really falling in love or is it the effect of a new anti-depressant they’re testing?
A renown playwright, Lucy Prebble’s work includes A Very Expensive Poison, ENRON, The Sugar Syndrome, Succession and Secret Diary of a Call Girl.
The production marks the first London revival of the play since it premiered to critical acclaim at the National Theatre in 2012.
The revival will be directed by Anthony Neilson with design by Natahsa Jenkins, lighting by Nigel Edwards, sound by Helen Skiera and casting by Julia Horan.
The Effect will run from 19 March 2020 until 30 May 2020 at the Boulevard Theatre, Soho.
