Production images have released for Kenneth Branagh‘s epic new production of King Lear at the Wyndham’s Theatre, in which he directs and plays the title role.

The stunning photos by Johan Perrson reveal the cast of King Lear for the first time, including Kenneth Branagh as King Lear, Mara Allen as Curan, Deborah Alli as Goneril, Raymond Anum as Burgundy, Melanie-Joyce Bermudez as Regan, Doug Colling as Edgar, Dylan Corbett-Bader as France, Eleanor de Rohan as Kent, Chloe Fenwick-Brown as Oswald, Joseph Kloska as Gloucester, Corey Mylchreest as Edmund, Hughie O’Donnell as Cornwall, Caleb Obediah as Cornwall and Jessica Revell as Cordelia / The Fool.

Branagh’s highly anticipated revival of Shakespeare’s King Lear from his Kenneth Branagh Theatre Company, runs at the Wyndham’s Theatre until 9 December 2023. Following its West End run it is then scheduled to transfer to The Shed’s Griffin Theater in New York City for the autumn of 2024.

Joining Branagh in the creative team are Jon Bausor (set and costume designer), Lucy Skilbeck (associate director), Nina Dunn (projection designer), Paul Keogan (lighting designer), Ben and Max Ringham (sound designers and composers), Aletta Collins (choreographer), Lucy Bevan CDG and Emily Brockmann (casting directors), Bret Yount (fight director), Issy Snape and Michael Rouse (assistant directors) and Jim Leaver (production manager).
