Production photos have been released for the major new UK & Ireland tour of The Drifters Girl.
The tour started in Southampton last month, and is currently playing at the Marlowe Theatre in Canterbury until 21 October. Tour dates currently go up to May 2024.
The tour of the hit West End musical stars Carly Mercedes Dyer (Anything Goes – What’s On Stage Award winner, Olivier Award nomination, Six The Musical) as music industry change-maker Faye Treadwell.
The cast also includes Ashford Campbell (The X Factor, The Drifters Girl), Miles Anthony Daley (Tina Turner: The Musical, Choir of Man), Tarik Frimpong (The Wiz, Aladdin), The X Factor winner Dalton Harris, and Jaydah Bell-Ricketts (A Little Princess, School Of Rock) as Girl.
Completing the cast is Loren Anderson, Tre Copeland-Williams, Ethan Davis, Matthew Dawkins and Linseigh Green.
The Drifters Girl is the remarkable story of The Drifters and the truth about the woman who made them. From the highs of hit records to the lows of legal battles and personal tragedy, Faye Treadwell is the legendary manager of The Drifters who refused to give up on the group she loved. Thirty years, and hundreds of hit songs later, there is no doubt that Faye Treadwell was and always will be, The Drifters Girl.
The show is packed full of Drifters classics including Saturday Night At The Movies, Save The Last Dance For Me and Stand By Me.
