Producers have released rehearsal photos for Kenneth Branagh‘s production of King Lear in which he directs and plays the title role.
Branagh’s highly anticipated revival of Shakespeare’s King Lear runs at the Wyndham’s Theatre from 21 October 2023 until 9 Decemeber 2023. Following its West End run it is then scheduled to transfer to The Shed’s Griffin Theater in New York City for the autumn of 2024.
Joining Branagh on stage are Mara Allen as Curan, Deborah Alli as Goneril, Raymond Anum as Burgundy, Melanie-Joyce Bermudez as Regan, Doug Colling as Edgar, Dylan Corbett-Bader as France, Eleanor de Rohan as Kent, Chloe Fenwick-Brown as Oswald, Joseph Kloska as Gloucester, Corey Mylchreest as Edmund, Hughie O’Donnell as Cornwall, Caleb Obediah as Cornwall and Jessica Revell as Cordelia / The Fool.
