Tickets to the National Theatre’s five-star hit musical Standing at the Sky’s Edge are now on sale.
The Olivier Award winning show will open at the Gillian Lynne Theatre on 8 February 2024, booking to Saturday 3 August 2024.
The production was a huge hit at the National Theatre, and in Sheffield where it first began, getting incredible reviews from the London theatre critics when it ran at the National Theatre earlier in the year. Read a round-up of reviews here.
Standing at the Sky’s Edge is directed by Robert Hastie, with a book by Chris Bush and songs by Sheffield singer-songwriter Richard Hawley. The show won Best New Musical and Best Original Score / New Orchestration for Hawley’s music at the 2023 Olivier Awards.
The musical follows three storylines across three generations: Poppy wants to escape her old life in London; Joy and Jimmy want to spend the rest of their lives together; and Rose and Harry want the new life they’ve been promised.
Casting for the West End transfer has not yet been announced.
