Photos have dropped following the first performance of Death Note The Musical in concert at the London Palladium, directed and choreographed by Nick Winston.
The concert opened last night, 21 August 2023, and finishes today.
The show then moves to the Lyric Theatre in the West End, running from 7 to 10 September 2023.
The London Palladium shows star Broadway’s Adam Pascal (Rent), West End star Aimie Atkinson (Six, Pretty Woman The Musical), Rachel Clare Chan and Christian Ray Marbella (Miss Saigon), Frances Mayli McCann (Bonnie & Clyde) as Misa, Dean John-Wilson (Aladdin) as ‘L’ and Joaquin Pedro Valdes (Disney’s The Lion King) as Light.
The ensemble includes Felipe Bejarano, Charlotte Coggin, Jade Copas, Eu Jin Hwang, Yojiro Ichikawa, Deena Kapadia, David Kar-Hing Lee, Nick Len, Jasmine Leung, Jojo Meredith, Marcel Li-Ping, Janine Somcio.
And over at the Lyric, the cast will include George Maguire (Bonnie and Clyde, Sunny Afternoon) will play Ryuk, with Aimie Atkinson (Pretty Woman The Musical) as Rem, Rachel Clare Chan as Sayu, Christian Ray Marbella (Miss Saigon) as Soichiro, Jessica Lee (Miss Saigon) as Misa, Joaquin Pedro Valdes (Disney’s The Lion King) as Light, Dean John-Wilson (The King and I) as L, and Carl Man (Wicked) as the alternate L.
The ensemble will feature Boaz Chad, Patrick Munday, Charlotte Coggin, Jade Copas, Eu Jin Hwang, Yojiro Ichikawa, Deena Kapadia, David Kar-Hing Lee, Jasmine Leung, Jojo Meredith, Marcel Li-Ping, Janine Somcio.
The show has music by Frank Wildhorn (Bonnie & Clyde, Jekyll & Hyde), lyrics by Jack Murphy (The Civil War) and book by Ivan Menchell (Bonnie & Clyde, The Nanny), and is based on the best-selling “Death Note” Japanese manga series by Tsugumi Ohba and Takeshi Obata.
