Edinburgh Fringe hit shows Boy Out The City and Bloody Elle: A Gig Musical are coming to the Lyric Theatre in London next month as a queer double-bill.
The two LGBTQ+-themed shows will each play daily at the Lyric from 27 to 30 September.
Bloody Elle: A Gig Musical is written by and stars Lauryn Redding (The Secret Diary Of Adrian Mole Ahed 13 ¾ The Musical), and directed by Bryony Shanahan.
The show was first performed at the Royal Exchange in Manchester and is a one-woman, semi-autobiographical gig musical about coming of age and coming out for a young, working-class girl from the north of England.
Boy Out The City is written by and stars Declan Bennett (Taboo, Jesus Christ Superstar, Moulin Rouge! The Musical), is co-created and directed by Nancy Sullivan, and has had previous runs in London including the Turbine Theatre.
Boy Out The City is a raw and humorous autobiographical play exploring toxic masculinity, homophobia, and mental health.
Paul Taylor Mills, artistic director of The Other Palace and the Turbine Theatre, is presenting the season.
