Production photos are in for Tom Hollander led Patriots at the Noël Coward Theatre in London
Patriots began preview performances in London’s West End on Friday 26 May and runs until 19 August with an official press night on 6 June. Written by The Crown’s Peter Morgan, the show transfers from the Almeida Theatre in North London, following an acclaimed sell-out run.
Directed by the Almeida’s Artistic Director, Rupert Goold (Ink, Enron), Patriots is a brilliant and startlingly timely story of ambition, loyalty and betrayal in a brave new world. Based on real events, the play follows the rise of Vladimir Putin and the Russian oligarchs in 90s Russia.
BAFTA-winning actor Tom Hollander (White Lotus, The Night Manager; Travesties) leads the cast as Russian oligarch Boris Berezovsky, alongside Will Keen (His Dark Materials) as Vladimir Putin and Luke Thallon (Albion) as Roman Abramovich. The trio reprise their roles from the Almeida Theatre production last summer.
Supporting cast members include: Matt Concannon, Ronald Guttman, Sean Kingsley, Paul Kynman, Jessica Temple, Josef Davies, Ashley Gerlach, Howard Gossington, Stefanie Martini and Evelyn Miller. They are joined by understudies Peter Eastland, Lydia Fraser and Matt McClure.
