Southwark Playhouse has dropped a new behind-the-scenes video of the cast and creators of their new revival of How to Succeed in Business Without Really Trying rehearsing in London; and a song from the show, performed by Allie Daniel.
Directed by Georgie Rankcom, this re-imagined, gender-swapping take on the classic Broadway show stars Olivier Award winner Tracie Bennett (she/her – Follies, Coronation Street), as big boss J B Biggley, and Gabrielle Friedman (she/they – Stephen Sondheim’s Old Friends) as J. Pierrepont Finch.
Other cast include Annie Aitken (she/her) as Hedy LaRue; Taylor Bradshaw (he/him) as Mr Bert Bratt; Allie Daniel (she/her) as Rosemary Pilkington; Elliot Gooch (he/him) as Bud Frump; Grace Kanyamibwa (she/her) as Miss Jones; Danny Lane (he/him) as Mr Twimble/Mr Wally Womper; Milo McCarthy (they/them) as Mr Milton Gatch; and Verity Power (she/her) as Smitty.
How to Succeed…, which is written by Frank Loesser (Guys & Dolls) and Abe Burrows, will run at Southwark Playhouse Borough from 12 May to 17 June 2023.
