Kenneth Branagh will direct and play the title role in Shakespeare’s King Lear at Wyndham’s Theatre this Autumn.
The production will start on 21 October 2023, for a limited run of 50 performances.
Following its London run, the show will transfer to the The Shed’s Griffin Theater in New York for autumn 2024.

The production is produced by West End producers Fiery Angel, The Shed, and the Kenneth Branagh Theatre Company.
The Kenneth Branagh Theatre Company was formed in 2013, and presented seven plays at the Garrick Season from October 2015, including Shakespeare’s The Winter’s Tale, Red Velvet by Lolita Chakrabarti, and The Entertainer by John Osborne.
