Two anxious lonely people embark on a sexual odyssey … with mixed results.

Lisa Carroll’s latest play, The Misandrist, is a penetrating new comedy about the search for sexual knowledge, true love, and top-notch Tupperware.

Elf Lyons (SWAN, The Raven) and Nicholas Armfield (Imperium and Richard III both for the RSC) take the leads as “intimidating” Rachel and eternal “nice guy” Nick.

The Misandrist is booking from 10 May 2023 until 10 June 2023 at the Arcola Theatre London.

When “intimidating” Rachel and eternal “nice guy” Nick meet at a sticky-floored bar in Piccadilly, what was meant to be a one-night-stand becomes a sexual odyssey of self-discovery… and mutual destruction.

As they navigate their situationship, Rachel decides it’s time to TAKE BACK CONTROL. Can some playful, passionate pegging provide a pathway of discovery to new parts of themselves, and each other?
