Punchdrunk’s latest immersive theatre experience The Burnt City has added new London dates with the show now booking to 24 September 2023.
Billed as a “future noir” retelling of the fall of Troy, the immersive experience contrasts ancient worlds of Troy and Mycenae, with each world given a dystopian sci-fi twist.
An immersive promenade show (wear comfy shoes), it begins as if you are entering a slick museum tour but are then plunged into a neon-lit Troy inspired by Fritz Lang’s classic movie Metropolis. Once there audiences encounter gods, monsters, secret passageways and more in this epic show featuring a cast of over 30 performers.
Not sure if it’s for you, then watch a behind the scenes of The Burnt City with a brand new Sky Arts documentary Punchdrunk: Behind the Mask.
The Burnt City will now run until 28 September at Woolwich Works, Woolwich Arsenal, London.
