The Bridge Theatre in London has released first-look photos of the cast of Nicholas Hytner’s new immersive production of Guys & Dolls at the first day of rehearsals for the show.
Guys & Dolls kicks off at the Bridge Theatre from 3 March 2023, booking to 2 September 2023.
The show features a fabulous cast including Daniel Mays (Line of Duty) as Nathan Detroit, Andrew Richardson (A Call to Spy, The Last O.G) as Sky Masterson, Celinde Schoenmaker (Les Miserables, The Phantom of the Opera) as Sarah Brown, Marisha Wallace (Dreamgirls, Oklahoma!) as Miss Adelaide and Cedric Neal (Motown The Musical, Back to the Future) as Nicely-Nicely Johnson.
Nicholas Hytner has resisted producing a musical at the Bridge until now, and given his track record for musicals – i.e. Miss Saigon, we are expecting great things!
Guys & Dolls is based on the story and characters of Damon Runyon, with music and lyrics by Frank Loesser and book by Jo Swerling and Abe Burrows.
The creative team for the show also includes set design by Bunny Christie, choreography by Arlene Phillips, costumes by Deborah Andrews and Bunny Christie, associate direction and choreography by James Cousins, lighting by Paule Constable, sound by Paul Arditti, musical direction by Tom Brady, orchestrations by Charlie Rosen and casting by Charlotte Sutton.
