Wicked movie news: Keala Settle joins cast, Jeff Goldblum confirmed

Yet more casting news is in for the forthcoming movie version of Wicked.

Keala Settle, who recently starred in & Juliet and Sister Act in the West End and is famous for her role in movie The Greatest Showman, is joining the movie as Miss Coddle. She is also currently starring in panto!

Also announced are Bowen Yang as Pfannee, Marissa Bode as Nessarose, Bronwyn James as ShenShen, Aaron Teoh as Avaric, and Colin Michael Carmichael as Professor Nikidik.

The movie’s director Jon M Chu also finally confirmed on Twitter the news we all knew – that Jeff Goldblum is officially cast as the Wizard.

Last week it was announced that Michelle Yeoh has been cast as Madame Morrible and Ethan Slater as Boq.

They all join a cast that includes Ariana Grande as Glinda, Cynthia Erivo as Elphaba, and Jonathan Bailey as Fiyero.

The films will be in two-parts, based on the smash-hit stage musical, and directed by Jon M. Chu (In the Heights).
