New comedy Windfall to premiere at Southwark Playhouse

Scooter Pietsch’s hilarious and chaotic new comedy Windfall will receive its UK premiere at Southwark Playhouse in 2023.

Directed by Mark Bell – director of West End comedy hits The Play That Goes Wrong and The Comedy About a Bank RobberyWindfall follows a group of co-workers pushed to the edge by their maniacal boss who decide to risk it all on a $500 million lottery ticket. Friends become enemies when the prospect of winning brings out the worst in people in this hilarious comedy.

Casting for the show is to be announced.

The show arrives at London’s Southwark Playhouse Borough venue in February 2023 following a critically acclaimed run in New York earlier this year. It previews from Thursday 9 February 2023 and runs for five weeks to Saturday 11 March 2023.

The creative team includes Rachel Stone (set & costume), Robbie Butler (lighting), Dave Nolan (fight director) and Eleanor Fanyinka (assistant director).

Windfall is produced by Adam Roebuck (‘Afterglow’, UK premiere, Southwark Playhouse and Waterloo East Theatre) in association with Youda Jin and Marilyn Wilson/POP Productions.

Southwark Playhouse has also announced a new season for Southwark Playhouse Elephant – their new venue – including a revival of The Wind in the Willows; the premiere of Bermondsey Revolution; and, a revival of Enda Walsh’s farce The Walworth Farce.
