Watch Aidan Turner and Jenna Coleman describe their new play Lemons Lemons Lemons Lemons Lemons, which comes to the Harold Pinter Theatre in January 2023.
Sam Steiner’s 2015 drama follows a young couple who live in a society where the government has restricted individuals to a daily limit of 140 spoken words. Director Josie Rourke said “Sam’s play finds the humanity in how people and couples work through extreme situations. There is the potential for great joy, fun, reflection and healing in that.”
This hilarious and provocative two-hander runs at London’s Harold Pinter Theatre in January 2023 for a limited 9-week season followed by dates in Manchester and Brighton.
Aidan Turner returns to the West End following his acclaimed performance in 2018 in Martin McDonagh’s The Lieutenant of Inishmore; he is best known for the tv series’ Poldark, Being Human and Peter Jackson’s epic film trilogy The Hobbit.
Jenna Coleman’s most recent stage credits include Arthur Miller’s All My Sons at the Old Vic in 2019 opposite Sally Field, Bill Pullman and Colin Morgan. She first came to prominence in the tv series Victoria and has since garnered rave reviews for The Serpent and most recently The Sandman.
Lemons Lemons Lemons Lemons Lemons is at the Harold Pinter theatre, London, from 18 January to 18 March. It then runs at Manchester Opera House (21-25 March) and Theatre Royal Brighton (28 March-1 April).
