First Look Photos: Tammy Faye – A New Musical

Here’s a first look at brand new musical Tammy Faye – A New Musical at the Almeida Theatre.

The show boasts a witty and thought-provoking book by mega-successful British playwright and screenwriter James Graham – who has his latest play Best of Enemies heading to the West End next month. He is joined by a fierce songwriting team – Elton John writing the music, and Jake Shears on lyrics.

Tammy Faye is played by Olivier Award winning musicals powerhouse Katie Brayben (Beautiful), with Broadway darling and The Book of Mormon alum Andrew Rannells as her husband Jim.

Almeida Artistic Director Rupert Goold takes the directing reigns.

Reviews are coming in, and it sounds like a camptastic night at the theatre. We hope (and pray!) it transfers! The show is running at the Almeida to 3 December 2022 but is pretty much sold out – although check for returns.
