The smash-hit production of Tina – The Tina Turner Musical had its media night last night, 18 October 2022, to celebrate new cast members to the show.
Elesha Paul Moses led the cast last night as Tina Turner, with Caleb Roberts playing Ike.
The critically acclaimed show is based on the life of legendary artist Tina Turner, and produced in association with Tina Turner herself.
Kristina Love also joined the West End production on 12 October 2022, to share the title role of Tina Turner with Elesha Paul Moses.
Other cast in the show include Caleb Roberts as Ike Turner, Paula Kay as Tina’s mother Zelma Bullock, Charis Alexandra as Tina’s sister Alline Bullock, George Jennings as Tina’s Manager Roger Davies, Irene Myrtle Forrester as Tina’s Grandmother, Kelly Hampson as Ike and Tina’s manager Rhonda Graam, Gregory Haney as Tina’s father Richard Bullock, Cordell Mosteller as Tina’s first love Raymond Hill, Chris Grahamson as Record Producer Phil Spector and Lyricist Terry Britten and Joseph Richardson as record company Marketing Manager Erwin Bach.
Tina – The Tina Turner Musical had its world premiere at the Aldwych Theatre in April 2018, and has packed in audiences ever since, with booking now extended to 3 September 2023.
Directed by Phyllida Lloyd and written by Pulitzer Prize-winner Katori Hall with Frank Ketelaar and Kees Prins, the show is choreographed by Anthony van Laast, with set and costume designs by Mark Thompson, musical supervision by Nicholas Skilbeck, lighting by Bruno Poet, sound by Nevin Steinberg, projection design by Jeff Sugg and orchestrations by Ethan Popp.
