Producers of Jack and the Beanstalk at the London Palladium have revealed more cast ahead of rehearsals starting in November.
Louis Gaunt, who has just finished playing Bert in Mary Poppins at the Prince Edward and starred as Lord Lumley in Netflix drama Bridgerton, is to take the title role of Jack; actress Natalie McQueen, whose West End credits include Bonnie & Clyde, 9 to 5, Kinky Boots and Wicked, will play the panto’s Princess; and actor and social media star Rob Madge, who brings their acclaimed show My Son’s a Queer (But What Can You Do?) to the Garrick Theatre next month, will play the cow, Pat.
They join comedy superstars Dawn French and Julian Clary alongside Palladium favourites Paul Zerdin, Nigel Havers and Gary Wilmot, plus singer and actress Alexandra Burke.
The show has a £2 million budget and promises to be the biggest, most spectacular show on stage in London this Christmas. The Panto will be directed by Michael Harrison, with a script by Harrison and Julian Clary, with input from Dawn French.
Jack and the Beanstalk runs at the London Palladium from 10 December 2022 for five weeks only.
