The Mother of all pantomimes is back in Hackney this festive season, starring Clive Rowe as Mother Goose. First created in 1902 for Music Hall legend and Hackney Empire regular Dan Leno, Hackney Empire is thrilled to celebrate 120 years of this iconic pantomime in their 120th birthday year! Hackney Empire has released behind-the-scenes rehearsal images for its Christmas pantomime Mother Goose, which begins performances next week on 19 November. Mother Goose Tickets are on sale here. Earlier this week, Priscilla the Goose had a fun day out at Liverpool Street Station, making friends with delighted commuters as she spread the word about the show, which runs until 31 December. Hackney Empire to stage Mother Goose pantomime in 2022 starring Clive Rowe
Hackney Empire will stage Mother Goose this Christmas, as the venue confirms its annual pantomime production. Mother Goose tickets are on sale here. Mother Goose will open on 19th November 2022 and run until 31st December, with the press performance at 7pm on 1st December. In what will be his 15th pantomime at Hackney Empire, Olivier award-winning panto royalty Clive Rowe will direct and star as the Dame, Mother Goose, with full cast and creative team to be announced. Prior to his run in Mother Goose, Rowe will be on stage in highly anticipated London revival of Sister Act The Musical at the Hammersmith Eventim Apollo starring Beverley Knight, Jennifer Saunders and Keala Settle. The pantomime Mother Goose was first created for another Hackney Empire legend, Music Hall comedian Dan Leno, who first performed the show in 1902. 120 years on, Hackney are proud to present the mother of all pantomimes in their 120th birthday year.
