Clare Perkins is a British actress whose long career spans television, film, theatre and radio. She is widely known for her tv roles as Denise Boulter in Family Affairs, Ava Hartman in EastEnders and the new Amazon series The Wheel of Time.
Her film credits include Jill in Ken Loach’s Palme d’Or-winning Ladybird, Secrets & Lies by Mike Leigh, Bullet Boy and 7 Lives.
Clare’s numerous tv roles include Bodies, The Outlaws, The Crown, Suspicion, Death in Paradise, Wool, Run, Hobby City, Doctors, Casualty, Clapham Junction and Young Wallander.
Recent theatre roles include The Wife of Willesden at the Kiln Theatre in 2021; Sweat at the Donmar Warehouse and West End alongside Martha Plimpton; Emilia at Shakespeare’s Globe and the West End transfer; Mrs Dalloway at Arcola Theatre and Genesis Inc at Hampstead Theatre. Other theatre credits include The Curious Incident of the Dog in the Night-Time and Welcome to Thebes, both for the National Theatre and, Play On and Little Revolution at the Almeida Theatre.
