Stranger Things: The Experience has opened at the Troubadour Brent Cross Studios in Cricklewood, North London.
A vast warehouse has been turned over to recreate the town of Hawkins, Indiana and the murky world of the Upside Down in this show built around the hit Netflix series Stranger Things.
This immersive adventure allows you to join Eleven, Dustin, Mike, Lucas, Max, and Will for a very special episode of the show, allowing you to venture inside Hawkins Lab for a 1-hour immersive experience featuring a brand-new Stranger Things storyline, then explore an 80’s-themed Mix-Tape medley with food & drinks, special merchandise, photo ops, and more.
A new theatre play based on Stranger Things is set to come to the stage sometime next year directed by Stephen Daldry.
Stranger Things: The Experience is currently booking to 11 December 2022.
"After a wonky start, this official immersive show does a decent job of throwing you into the world of the Netflix smash"
"If you’ve never seen or actively dislike ‘Stranger Things’, it would be pretty perverse of you to hike out to Brent Cross for this. But if you like the show – even relatively casually – then ‘Stranger Things: The Experience’ is a very fun hour of fan service. It has a glacial start to be sure, but the Netflix megabucks win out in the end. If the end of Season Four has left you feeling bereft, this is the place to go to get yourself that little extra bump of strangeness."
"Ups and downs in the Upside-Down"
"Some genuinely creepy moments in the immersive show were undermined by the lack of sound-proofing in the building"
"Featuring an all-new (presumably non-canon) storyline, the audience plays a group of townspeople who have been selected to participate in a special “sleep study” at Hawkins Laboratory. Needless to say, all is not as it seems and things quickly go sideways."
"A cynical cash grab from Netflix, or simply a price worth paying for a unique experience? I suspect that will depend on how much of a fan you are. Did I enjoy it? Yes. Would I pay for it? Probably not."
"Stepping into Hawkins has never been more explosive"
"Within minutes I was laughing and squirming in equal measure as some of Hawkins' most shady scientists began grilling me about my sleep patterns and nightmares."
"If you're a big fan of Stranger Things and not too far from London, I highly recommend the experience, but at £52 per ticket it would be wasted on someone who doesn't love the show."
