Michael Grandage’s production of Orlando starring Emma Corrin will open at the Garrick Theatre this November.
Corrin, best known for their portrayal of Princess Diana in Netflix series The Crown will star in a new adaptation of Virginia Woolf’s Orlando, adapted by Neil Bartlett, with direction by Grandage. Tickets for Orlando on sale soon.
Emma Corrin returns to the stage to play Orlando, following their Olivier Award nominated performance in Anna X (Harold Pinter Theatre). Emma was most recently seen in the British remake of French tv series 10 Percent with forthcoming screen projects including Lady Chatterly’s Lover and limited-series Retreat. Grandage recently directed Emma Corrin and Harry Styles the feature film My Policeman for Amazon.
Orlando tells the tale of its titular character as they travel through countries, centuries and genders after being born in the 16th century. The production will feature a company of 11, with further cast members and creative team to be revealed.
Orlando will begin performances at the Garrick Theatre on 25 November 2022 running until 25 February 2022 . The theatre is currently home to The Drifters Girl which recently posted early closing notices – its final performance will be 15 October 2022.
