Here’s our pick of some great movie musicals to sing along to this August 2022, appearing on BBC iPlayer in the UK.
Some of the films are airing this week on BBC Two, so will be available on BBC iPlayer once they have played on the channel.
Most are classic Hollywood movies, but there is also the Broadway production of Newsies – which is coming to London this year at London’s Troubadour Wembley Park Theatre from 29 November 2022.

Kiss Me Kate
MGM’s 1950’s adaptation of the classic Broadway musical, with Kathryn Grayson, Howard Keel, Ann Miller and Bob Fosse.
