Ben Joyce to play Marty McFly in Back To The Future musical in London

New casting has been announced for the West End production of Back To The Future The Musical.

From 17 August 2022 Ben Joyce will play the role of Marty McFly. Joyce, who hails from Swansea in South Wales, is presently starring in the London production of Jersey Boys at the Trafalgar Theatre. This will be his second lead role in a musical.

Marty McFly is currently played by Olly Dobson whose final West End performance will be on 15 August 2022. Dobson originated the role of McFly at the Manchester tryout and London premiere at the Adelphi Theatre.

Tony-winning Roger Bart (The Producers) will continue in the role of Doc Brown, the part created in the 1985 film and its two sequels by Christopher Lloyd.

Producers recently announced the show would open on Broadway and that they are in negotiations with Roger Bart to play Doc Brown to open the show. A recent casting note said the role of McFly would be played by an American.

Tickets for Back To The Future The Musical are available to book to 12 February 2023.
