New staging of the Olivier Award-winning play and Hollywood hit film.

To mark the 25th Anniversary of the play’s premiere, Olivier Award winning director, Clare Lizzimore, stages a radical new production of Patrick Marber’s cult-classic about longing, lust, sex, and desire.

Would you risk it all for a moment of passion? In a city out of lockdown, the play is as searing today as it ever was in its exploration of love, sex and the fragility of the human heart.

Accolades: After its premiere in 1997, Closer won Olivier, Evening Standard and New York drama Critics Circle Awards. Since then, Closer has played in more than 200 cities across the world. In 2004 Mike Nichols directed the award-winning film version starring Natalie Portman, Jude Law, Julia Roberts and Clive Owen.

Closer is booking from 14 July 2022 and 13 August 2022 at the Lyric Hammersmith Theatre, London.
