Jodie Comer will make her Broadway debut in Prima Facie at the Golden Theatre in 2023, it has been announced.
Susie Miller’s solo show will transfer to New York in early 2023 with the Killing Eve star set to reprise her performance. The BAFTA and Emmy Award winning star of Killing Eve has been widely lauded for her West End debut and is tipped to win the Olivier Award for Best Actress. The West End production has been a huge hit critically and commercially selling out the run.
Produced by Empire Street Productions, the piece follows a young barrister, Tessa, whose life is transformed by a single incident.
Comer said today: “It has been an absolute privilege to tell Tessa’s story here in London over the past few weeks and to now have the opportunity to take Prima Facie to Broadway is a dream come true.”
Prima Facie has an original score by Rebecca Lucy Taylor, with set and costume design by Miriam Buether, lighting design by Natasha Chivers, sound design by Ben and Max Ringham, video is by William Williams for Treatment Studio. US general management is by 101 Productions Ltd. Prima Facie is directed by Justin Martin.
Prima Facie concludes its 9-week run at the Harold Pinter Theatre on 18 June 2022.
Specific dates for the Broadway transfer are to be revealed.
